if a sphere of radius 7 cm is melted and recast into a cone?
ht of cone 28 cm. question: find the base radius of cone
Answer by yasser t
4/3*pi*7^3=1/3*pi*r^2*28
r^2=7^2 r=7
Answer by ykmuagoj
/
v=4*343pi/3=1/3pir^2h
4*343=r^2(28)
r=7
Answer by Chris D
If the sphere is melted down into a different shape, in theory they should have the same area.
so first find the area of the circle
(4/3)*(3.14)*(7^3)=1436.03
next set this area to the new formula
1436.03=(1/3)*(3.14)*(r^2)*(28)
r^2= 49
Radius =7cm
hope this helps have a great day!
Answer by como
V = (4/3) ( π ) 7³ cm³
V = 1372 π / 3 cm³
V cone = (1/3) π r² h
1372 π/ 3 = (1/3) π r² (28)
1372 = 28 r²
r² = 1372 / 28
r = 7 cm

base is 8 units and ht is 19 units
Answer by cidyah
Lateral surface area = π r l
l = sqrt(h^2+r^2) = sqrt(361+16)=sqrt(377)=19.4165
= π (4)(19.4165)
= 243.8711 sq units
radius =4 and π = 3.14 in the calculation.
