Experienced WM software users. Verizon htc touch xv6900 enabling GPS. flashing rom on PDA?

Ive seen on some threads online that if you flash the ROM ,unlock the phone and put 6.1 on it you can enable the GPS . Has anyone performed this task and was it successful? If so can you explain a little bit?

Please don’t leave any answers such as “The Verizon xv6900 doesn’t have GPS” or “idk but I like the voyager”

There is no GPS to enable. You need a bit more than software. The device doesn’t have a GPS radio to enable. First you need the hardware (GPS radio) that the XV6900 does not have.

Thanks Jason for your reply but unfortunately it was unsuccessful. I tried installing it to my Mda Touch and a message came up ‘Athan is not a pocket pc application’. I’m quite puzzle. I’m sure the software is a Pocket PC app but maybe is it b’coz I’m running on WM6??? Still need some help please guys….
