How well does the HTC Hero work when flashed to MetroPCS?
Obviously, it’ll be a lot slower, but since it runs Android and all, will I still be able to run the Android Market and apps like Pandora? (Even if I have to use wifi.)
Also, I flashed a Blackberry to Metro PCS and it pretty much destroyed itself inside out. Is the HTC hero pretty reliable even on Metro PCS?

Good and bad news:
Good: Accessing the SD card is simple. Plug your Hero into the Data cable and plug the cable into the computer. (Or vice-versa)
On the Hero you will see a notification at the top that you are connected to USB. “Pull down” the notification bar, and you “USB connected” Touch that, and it will give you an option to “Mount” the card. After you do so, it will show up on your computer just like any USB Thumb drive.
The bad news: cab files, are windows executable files, and will not run on Android. This would be like trying to get an apple iphone program to run on your old phone, or getting and Android application to run on it. They are not at all compatible.

An Afternoon At The Races: The De Panne Finale
Getting there looked easy enough on the map, but unfortunately, our experience and the map’s suggestive idea of simplicity parted ways somewhere about five kilometers into the 120 kilometer adventure. Highway entrances were blocked, mysterious new paths opened and none of them were quick.
