I need help about HTC Shift please!?

Really I was thinking of export it but I was curious about, is there gonna be a new UMPC from HTC that is better than Shift coming out this year as well? I was gonna buy it as a birthday gift but I need to know if its worth it at the moment and can anyone delight tell me all the things it can do? P.S. to make it simpler can it do everything a PC can do? (except for graphic intensive applications?)

though these devices r not d prefect substitute for a pc or laptop. u cant insert discs into them. they r not intended for making a bet and their processors cant b as quick as a laptop/desktops. though they can do everything else a tablet pc can do.
if u like it for its touchscreen u shud get a tablet pc some can be cheaper and offer better specs
if u like it because u want a umpc id recomend a samsung q1 which has slightly better specs (and touchscreen) and i reckon is cheaper
if u want a phone with pc software on it, its a gud choice but there r numerous other htc devices with pc software on them which r more compact. eg advantage, diamond, tytn ii, etc and the 1s which r out r cheaper. at d moment this is htc’s most expensive device. i personally dont reckon it is worth it
and i reckon that its too small with not as many specs to be a usefull laptop yet too huge to be a excellent, simple-to-cary phone.
