Palm Pre to HTC Hero?

Palm Pre to HTC Hero?

Sprint is sending me a HTC HERO to replace my Palm Pre because I have had about 7 Palm Pre phones, and they keep breaking on me. Is there a way to transfer my contacts and calender events from the Pre to the Hero? Anyone know if the chargers are the same? Thanks!

Chatting on Nokia N900 (connected to Palm Pre charger) and developing on DELL XPS M1330 for HTC Hero

It wouldn’t charge unless you wiggled around and held it, it died whilst a new charger was on order now the new charger’s here and it still won’t turn on and charge, any thoughts?

Sounds like your usb connector has a loose tie. It’s quite an simple repair which can be preformed by some one with a bit of know how. If you have warranty, send it to htc. Otherwise, find a electronics repair service and have them take a look.

What do you reckon? Answer below!

* My appliance was an HTC hero from Sprint, an Android smartphone… which usually means it has terrible battery life. * I charge overnight nearly each day. * Before experimentation, the phone consumed 0.05 to 0.06 KWHs. * I usually talk for nine hours, send 80 text messages, and use about 300 megabytes of data a month. * Measurement was done by a meter that tracked voltage, current, power, frequency, and kilowatt-hours that was plugged into the phone charger in one end and into an outlet at the other. * I did many things to conserve energy. * The first thing I did was to unplug my phone when it was fully charged…which I realized was really ridiculous, since the charger stops consuming energy by itself when the phone is fully charged. * So, I did other things. * First, I installed an app called Tasker that automated things for me. * My GPS was the largest battery drainer, so I made it turn on only when I was by it. * Next, I made my Wifi and mobile tie turn off when it is night time. * Then, I disabled background syncing. * Finally, I periodically killed apps that I wasn’t by. * In the end, while unplugging my phone did not work, lowering my phone’s battery usage made it last longer and require less energy to charge. From 0.06 KWHs before, I now only consume 0.02 KWHs.
