Does anyone have an "UMPC" or Ultra mobile PC? Do you like it?

I was thinking about getting one of these instead of a laptop. I wanted something portable, but I was concerned that the screen was not protected. Should I get this, or just a 14-15 inch laptop? Thanks.

there is a 3rd opportunity, a small laptop with 12″ show what is pretty set alight for lugging around. they are somewhat more expensive than the ones with 14″ or 15″ show.

for example the Toshiba U200/U205

another model is the Dell XPS M1210, this is more expensive but not better.

The Wibrain B1 UMPC is a UMPC based on the VIA Ultra Mobility Platform featuring a 1.2 GHz VIA C7-M processor, 4.8" touchscreen, split thumboard, touchpad, and webcam.

I like to do blogging on the Metro and now use a smart phone. I would like something with a better keyboard and possilby Windows XP or 7 on it. Searching the web I have found a few different UMPC by Viliv, Eking (the i1 or the newer S515) and the Fujitsu U810 that all look striking to me.
Any thoughts on how these stack up or what would be the best best for writing on the go?

With my personal experience the eking s515 is the best if you delight in “thumbing” with a device. But if you want to type (on a cramped keyboard) I would just suggest a netbook.
