hi well i made a ebay account and my friends told me to go around and see the prices of phones because i am in need of buying a new phone and i got confused

can you get scammed?

it seems to cheap and what if
it is not how they said in the description?
What happens is there any way to guarantee it is what they say it is?
this is all confusing

There is always a possibility of getting scammed, but I have purchased many things and never had a problem. Be sure to read everything about it so you know exactly what your are getting.

Its low NOW but once it gets close to ending time it will probably go way higher than that. Most people wait until the bidding is almost over to bid on the item thats why it seems so low. Also, to be sure if you can trust the person selling it and that they arent tring to scam you, look at their ebay name close to the top right corner and you can see his feedback. The feedback tells you what other people said about the person and the things he sold and all that. If he has 100% feedback then it means you can probably trust that person or even a 99 or 98% if they have sold alot of items.

The 2 most important things to know when you start buying on eBay are:

1. Look at the Seller Info box – after the seller’s name/ID you will see a number inside parentheses, and a percentage. The higher both of these numbers are, the better off you will be, because the *first* number shows how many things the seller has sold, and the second number (the %) shows what percentage of people were satisfied. So for the 2 ads you gave, the first seller is better, because they have sold a lot more stuff, which means they know better what they’re doing, have a track record, etc.

2. Feel free to send a question to the seller asking about the item. If they’re reputable they’ll be happy to answer.

To answer your specific questions, if you get the item and the item isn’t as advertised (which is unlikely with someone who has done a lot of sales and has good feedback), eBay says that you can return the item to the seller and get your money back (and if you have a problem doing that, you can give the seller bad feedback and also let eBay know – so sellers try not to cause these kinds of problems!)

Lol its so cheap becuase it has a long time until the bidding ends. Dont worry, it will get a lot higher!!

If you do buy a phone off of ebay make sure to check the sellers feedback (over in the right hand corner next to their name.) If they have less than 50 feedback dont buy from them. Also, if they have a score lower than 98% I wouldnt buy from them either.

Also, ALWAYS pay with paypal. If you dont have one then get one! IF (which doesnt happen often) you get scammed, you will be able to get your money back. It may take about a month but you will get it.

I bought a phone off of ebay a few months ago and the next day the stupid thing quit working. I contacted the seller and they issued me a refund and then I sent the phone back (I made sure the money was in my bank account first though.) By the way, When you set up your paypal you will have to link your credit/debit card or bank account to it. But dont worry, its totally safe.

Ebay is generally a good place to by stuff so you should be fine.

i hate seeing the iphone and blackberry everywhere i go. i also hate seeing razors. so im searching for really good phones that are uncommon; price range pretty much anything except like the htc touch. Right now, I’m looking at the g1,blackberry pearl flip,htc diamond,alias 2,memoir,and the helio fin.

I am an authorized Verizon agent.
I think the best phones we have now are the eNV3, the Blackberry Tour, and the Chocolate 3. The HTC Diamond is a poor phone. TheBlackberry Pearl Flip is ok, but the keyboard is awkward.

Google this phone, “HTC Touch Pro 2″

Check out the reviews. This phone is awesome and just came out within the last month. I’m currently using it and its amazing. As for the Chocolate 3 or enV3, these phones are NOT smartphones and aren’t as capable as the G1, Touch Pro2, or Blackberry.

well i really like the HTC Touch Pro 2. its one of the best fones in the markket. has a nice slide out keyboard. over all its great. do NOT get the htc diamond. has very poor battery life. it has an ok touch screen.i dont recomend it 100%. i LOVE the pro 2. the flip blackberry looks weird…but thats jus me. the alias has a too plastic keybord. so i deff recomnd the pro 2 over all those fones yyuo sid. the tour is aite i guess. if your lookin for a blackberry get that one.
