You need to get;
http://www.microsoft.com/ireland/windowsmobile/activesync/default.mspx
be careful to get the correct one. Grab it and install it on your PC. Activesync for XP and WMDC for Vista/Windows 7.
You might also want to get;
http://member.america.htc.com/download/web_materials/Manual/HTC_S620/HTC_S620_English_Manual.pdf
which is the manual for your device.
That’s about all there is on the CD anyway.
Hope that helps.

Install system software update
Would you like to install the following system software update?
Would you like to download the following system update? Android 2.2 (Froyo) and HTC Sense update 92.75MB
You will be unable to use your phone or make emergency calls during the upgrade.

After a long wait, HTC have finally customised the Android 2.2 (Froyo) system software for HTC Desire (Telstra).
The Froyo ROM was on HTC’s website on 26 October 2010. For the patient, the Over-The-Air download was available on 29 October 2010. The difference is that with the OTA download, all your settings, applications etc are retained.

To check for OTA system software updates on your phone:
Menu > Settings > About Phone > System software updates > Check now

A tip for the wary, if the screen times out (turns off) during the download, the download seems to pause. I eventually set my screen timeout to 30 minutes and the download was flying!
Menu > Settings > Display > Screen timeout > 30 minutes

HTC HD7 finally gets NoDo, WP7 users revel in the splendor of copy / paste
Last week, Microsoft released a NoDo update schedule for all of its WP7 devices, and it looks like T-Mobile’s sticking to the plan. That’s right folks, T-Mobile’s HTC HD7 owners are officially the first to get a crack at the OTA NoDo download through the Zune software. T-Mo announced on its Twitter feed and website forum that the update has commenced, and our tipsters confirm that some have …

The T-Mobile version of the HTC HD7 comes with a few bundled apps that were bundled special for the carrier. Unfortunately we’re not talking about a huge amount of innovation. You get the T-Mobile Family Room app which will let you connect family members with T-Mobile branded Windows Phone 7 devices in order to share notes and calendars. There’s also the TeleNav GPS navigation program which is similar to the one we’ve seen on AT&T branded Windows Phone 7s. You’ve also got “T-Mobile TV” which is basically a rebrand of the Mobi-TV app for Windows Phone 7. The premium T-Mobile TV channels will cost you an extra per month, but if you cancel your trial subscription, you’ll still have a few free channels to watch. Lastly, from the HTC Hub, you can actually download another T-Mobile application called “My Account” this gives you easy access to your phone service stats such as how many minutes and text messages you’ve used so far during the billing cycle. Other than that, T-Mobile has just bundled a couple more apps that anyone can download from the Marketplace. Netflix and Slacker will show up as defaults on your start screen, but they (and any of the other T-Mobile customizations) are easily removable if you so desire.
