Is this PSU enough for a Radeon HD 5850?

Is this PSU enough for a Radeon HD 5850?

I have a PowerCooler 500 real watts PSU. It’s an Argentine brand, but I assure you, it is the best available Argentine PSU brand and these facts are not fictional, but rather trustworthy.

I’m thinking of export a Sapphire Radeon HD 5850, but when I try to find online the real power necessary I get mixed result. Some people say it’s more than enough, some people say the card requires 40A or above to function properly.

I have no conundrum in export a new PSU, the only thing is I have money to buy only one thing at a time. I can buy the PSU in 2 weeks or so, when I get paid, but in anticipation of then I can’t afford both, and I found a dealer with an awesome price for the card, really don’t want to miss the opportunity to buy it while it’s in stock.

My system is a Q6600 with 5Gb (1x2Gb, 3x1Gb), a Samsung SATA 7200rpm 320 Gb HD, 4x80mm fans, 1x120mm fan, and an IDE DVDR/CDR combo.

1- Should I be fine with my PSU and not buy a new one?
2- If I need to buy a new one (for assurance) could I technically run my system without any danger of damaging any components (obviously if I need a new PSU, in anticipation of I buy it I’ll restrict my making a bet habit)?
Thanks for responses in enhancement!
Trust me the PSU is a excellent brand, Corsairs and the like here in Argentina are extremely expensive, just consider this “being” a Corsair, because I know for a fact that they are as reliable as Corsair’s, it’s just it’s produced in Argentina, so most people will never have heard of them

It is a bit weak. I have the same card in my system, and run a 1100Watt PSU , but that is in anticipation of adding a second in the future.

It would doubtless power up, but I wouldn’t trust the stability of the rails. I would have to recommend obtaining a substantially more powerful CPU by a reputable brand, Corsair, Antec, etc.

A common system load with the 5850 is 500-600watts, (at full load).. so you can see everywhere it might be taxed under heavy application.

2 — I can’t guarantee no hurt,.. because I have hurt a Gfx card due to a weak CPU, but it was an incredibly weak generic HP PSU. If you obtained another PSU in a relatively quick quantity of time I don’t reckon you would have any problems.

Excellent luck,

500 Watt or greater power supply with two 75W 6-pin PCI Express power connectors recommended (600 Watt and four 6-pin connectors for ATI CrossFireX technology in dual mode)

It’s hard to say, because I don’t know how efficient of a PSU that is. If I were you, I would get a Corsair 650W or 750W (there’s only like a $ 10 difference between the two).

On ATI’s website, they say, “500 Watt or greater power supply with two 75W 6-pin PCI Express® power connectors recommended.

I don’t know if you can buy a Corsair everywhere you live though.

Because the phone I have, Samsung Glyde, from Verizon, is broken.

-Touch screen goes crazy
-Screen is half attached
-Freezes and turns off by itself, at random.

I’m going in to get it flat on monday, and I just looked on the website for phones, and the Gylde isn’t on it, so does that mean they took it off stock? If they did, doesn’t that mean I can get a whole new phone?

Because my friend had the explorer and it broke and they took it off stock so she got the EnV3 produce the explorer got taken off stock.

I really want a new phone, so do you reckon they’ll make me pay the full price of a new phone if I can get a new phone? I have insurance, also.

Answer by J2009
you can get a new one and they no longer sell the glyde so you will either get a MOTORIVAL or a env touch or env3

BY BRANDON TWICHELL ANCHOR: Jennifer Meckles You’re watching multisource tech video news analysis from Newsy Talk about honesty – Samsung CEO Lee Don-joo admits his company’s Galaxy Tab is “imperfect” to Apple’s iPad 2. (Video Source: The Inquirer) The CEO tells Yonhap Korean News Agency the Galaxy Tab needs some work. “We will have to improve the parts that are imperfect… Apple made [the iPad 2] very thin… The 10-inch (tablet) was to be priced higher than the 7-inch (tablet) but we will have to reckon that over.” The 7-inch tablet debuted back in late 2010 – and the 10.1 inch version is set for March – but mum’s the word on its price. A writer for VentureBeat says Samsung needs to get cracking if it desires to fix the larger model. “Samsung… doubtless realizes it will need to compete directly with the iPad 2 when it comes to pricing. It will liable cost Samsung quite a bit to bring its pricing down, but that’s liable what it will take to make the Galaxy Tab 10.1 a success.” But a tech writer for CNN says the CEO was doubtless referring to future models of the Galaxy Tab and not the current ones. (Video Source: Engadget) “We feel that a bit of information might have gotten lost in translation from Korean to English, as we certainly don’t expect Samsung to pull the 10.1-inch Galaxy Tab from the promote and release a thinner version.” Finally a writer for Cult of Mac says Samsung should have renowned how Apple upgrades its products and should have been better prepared for
