Why is there no sound when i upload my htc diamond video to my pc?

i recorded by the camcorder on my htc diamond gsm, but when i upload onto my computer, there is no signal in the playback. does anyone know how i can fix this so that my video will have signal when i playback on my pc?

Not too terrible rendering of a web page on the HTC Diamond. Too terrible the Touch FLO UI is still too slow!

I’m considering export the HTC Diamond for T-Mobile. I live in the US and would need to buy the phone unlocked. Does it work well here? Or should I wait for the authoritative US release?

First you should know that the Diamond (at least as now unrestricted) is a GSM phone. This means that you cannot use it on networks like Verizon or Sprint. It will work on ATT or T-Mobile though (or some other local carriers that use GSM). The largest concern, is that it does not use the 850Mhz band that US GSM carriers use. I believe that this would be more of a conundrum with ATT than T-Mobile, but T-Mobile does use 850Mhz in some of their roaming areas.

Do not dispair though! Apparently the Diamond does in fact support the 850 band, though it is now disabled. There is an unofficial ROM bring up to date that can unlock this feature and allow it to work (and also supposedly helps the battery life as well).

I have not done it for myself (I don’t have a diamond…yet), but excellent things have been said about it. Just remember that updating the ROM is something that you do at your own risk, so be careful!

……..Really it appears that HTC has just unrestricted an *authoritative* ROM bring up to date now that unofficial one has been leaked out. That takes away a lot of the risk of updating it yourself. The only issue now would be whether or not you are plotting on having high speed data on it though ATT, but as you say you are plotting on by T-Mobile, there shouldn’t be any limitations. (Remember, it still has wifi for all your surfing needs.)
