How to get the internet to work on my HTC Dream when i've had it unlocked?

i got my HTC Dream unlocked so i could use it on orange, i can SMS and call people impeccably fine, its just i have no thought why my internet wont work. Whenever i load the browser is comes up with ”web page not available”, how can i fix this?

Help would be much appreciated, Thanks!!

Well, you either have to have a data plot on your account to use the carrier’s network, or you have to connect via wi-fi.

The only thing that can be said with any certainty with an unlocked device is that it will make and receive calls and we can usually get text messaging working without too much distress. The conundrum with the newer devices is the browser settings are locked and we are unable to edit them. Sometimes we can add a new profile and place in all new settings and it still may not work. We may be able to get some things working while others we may not or we may not be able to get anything data related to work. It is all a crap shoot as far as data is concerned.
