Should I buy my lovebird a mate?

I have a lovebird that constantly keeps picking himself. I am pretty sure it's due to loneliness because he only picks when he is left lonely for a while. He wore a cone for as long as 3 months, but I took it off for about a week and he was doing fantastic. He just recently started picking again and I am really considering getting him another friend. I know that if I do get one I have to get a separate cage for a while to see if the interact okay. My question is if it's a excellent thought to get one or not and if I do, does it matter if it's a boy or a girl, I am not too sure how to tell the difference. Also, my bird is about one year ancient if that means anything. Thanks in enhancement to any and all answers.

yes your bird need a companion desperately. my uncle has only recently;y got ride off all his birds he had a massive as cage in the backyard with over 50 lovebirds in there. we got two from him once. we were only gonna get one but he said we needed two. i don’t reckon it matters which sex you place together nd if you by it from a bird handler or pet shop they should be abel to tell you which sex nd answer any questions

In one year ancient an bird should get an mate.Birds only pick them self when there bored i would suggest you get a mate for it.When is one year of age is a fantastic age to mate and have eggs too at least 1 year ancient.Take the bird out your having right now touch everywhere it poops but just a lilttle bit higher if you feel a bone is a boy if it just loops in is a girl.Whatever it is you should get the contrary gender of that lovebird say is a female get it a male.Yes you should leave them separate cage for about 1-2 weeks then see how they react.Then place them together.So yes you should get a lovebird they will have more fun together and you recently will get more lovebird too.Excellent Luck!

there called lovebirds for a reason
and if yur getting your bird from a reliable source eg pet shop, just question them.

I’d say your like bird is silent depressed. which is silent perilous in birds as it can be life threatening.
Now when it comes to choosing your second small companion it can depend on weather you are ready to commit to the two birds mating if its a girl. which i would not recommend personally. Or a boy which could stay in the same cage as your small lovebird but might fight.

which ever you choose i strongly suggest that you should know
Girl
>two cages
>(if mate) egg incubator
>a home for all the new birds
>special feed
Boy
>same cage
>possible fights (which can be flat with some schooling)

All new sterling chain connects these two stones, letting them stare upon each other for gradually…Will they graze your lovely shoulders, or perhaps a dear pal’s, come holiday-time?

As you can see, these lovelies will hang about 3 inches below your lobes.

All the silver in these earrings is new. The chain links are flat, so they add a lovely sparkle in contrast to the smooth shine of the stones.
The amethysts are ancient, but I don’t know how ancient. One of them is ever so slightly lighter in tone than its mate.
The quartz bi-cones could be ancient or new, I can’t be sure, as I found them in a giant mixed bowl of stones. They are INCREDIBLY clear and smooth-more like drops of water than stones. Tasty!

There are these guys on our third floor that despise me and my room mate for some reason. We personally don’t like them either. They keep throwing ice cream and cones at our window of the first floor a couple times a week since we’ve been back from spring break and we’re sick of it. Any thoughts how we can get them back excellent?! Be aware that we cannot get into their room.

3 set a raccoonn off(hehehehe)
4(this is the best) fake a robbery. lol
