Where can I buy the HTC Touch Pro 2 for US Cellular around Hillsboro, MO?

Im looking to buy the HTC Touch Pro 2. I have US Cellular and live around the Hillsboro, MO area. I looked at the website and it says its “Temporarily Unavailable” so what do i do? I want to go to Festus, MO and go to the USCC store there but will it be there? Do they not have it or is it just the website that doesn’t have it.

All stores are now sold out. I would call there first before going.

US Cellular is pulling a bait and switch on this phone. None of the stores I called in Wisconsin have this phone. After calling about 30 stores and asking how many they had for this offer the predictable answer was 2 phone some stores had only 1 and some really had NONE for this offer. One store said they had 200 phones but based on the answers from the other stores I’m pretty sure that was a lie.

Call the stores before going and question how many phones they had in stock for this offer and post the answer.

12/1/2009 – You can get this phone for free from at&t (at&t calls it the tilt 2) if you order it via walmart wireless. They unlike us cellular will sell you the phone even though it is now out of stock. estimated ship date is 12/8/09. Looks like US Cellular just lost a customer that was trying to spend a lot of money at their store.

Store in Hutchinson, KS said they were issued 40 phones at each store in Kansas, but all stores were sold out “Friday” is what he said, and when i questioned when they would get more in, they didn’t know but it was a “first come first serve we won’t tell you when” line. Estimate we’ll see. Might just switch to a different carrier.

As many others have stated both online and nearly ever store in the country are sold out. The phone officially launched about 1 week before the sale started. So even though US Cellular ordered tens of thousands of the phones to be in stock for the sale, the phone sold better than expected before the sale started which then meant the stores only had a few left for the actual sale. US Cellular will not give an answer because they don’t have a ship date from HTC yet. They would despise to make an already upset customer even more mad by promising a date and the shipment being delayed by HTC.

I now have the HTC Touch and I am wanting to upgrade to the HTC Touch Pro because it has a slide out QWERTY keyboard and I’m just fed up with the regular Touch because it only has an on screen touch keyboard which is nearly impossible to type on. Any opinions? FYI, credit won’t allow me to change carriers, so I’m stuck with Sprint.

Yes. I like the keyboard on my HTC Pro. I still have the on screen options when I want to “one hand” it, but the pull out keyboard is a must at times. It’s also simple to open and close the keyboard with one hand as well. The added thickness is minimal and still feels excellent in the hand. Also, the 5th row just for facts is a plus!

If you text, email, take notes, etc. the physical keyboard is a must.
