I will always recommend Infolinks of course :) But if you say you had problems with the links showing up, then just send an email to support@infolinks.com. They’ll help you straighten it out.

i’ve been thinking about buying my family iphone clones for xmas, seeing as my mom doesn’t even know how to “google” i don’t think they will mind much… however i don’t want them to get some crappy “toy” phone. i’ve researched a little before coming here and here are some pros and cons i’ve found… maybe someone with more experience can give me advice for or against but here it goes… the pros of the clone : cheap for a touchscreen w/o a plan, j2me java application compatible, works on any u.s. gsm network, most people can’t tell the difference unless they own an iphone and you let them play around a bit with yours, touchflo (some atleast), most have accelerometer (aka G-Sensor) and ICLONES CAN SEND MMS!!! (iphone can’t unless jailbroken and 3rd party apps installed)…. cons: NO SAFARI BROWSER!! , primitive java interface, sometimes manufactured with cheaper parts, not compatibe with iphone app store, crappy warranties, most if not all do not have wifi compatibility (tear sniffle tear)… just to add to that i have had quite a few ppc’s and smartphones including the htc touch, the htc juno, and the htc herald and i’ve seen the chinese imitations of these and started laughing my butt off, they look so cartoony compared to the real ones, i hope it is not the same case for the iphone clones…. any advice is appreciated, thank you much.

I work with iPhones everyday as well as countless other phone models. So far, the only clone that I’ve had a chance to play with was the j-Phone.

As far as clones go, it was kinda neat. It had a user accessible battery and two separate SIM slots. The GUI looked very much like the iPhone’s. But that’s where the similarities stopped.

After playing with it for a few minutes, I realized, this was *NO* iPhone. The GUI was slow, and took a split second to respond, unlike the immediate response of an iPhone. The touch screen also didn’t always respond with the same precision. Finally, the built in apps were not seamlessly integrated like OS X where data from one app was linked to another. They were more like a bunch of independent “WM Type” apps that had similarities between one another, but no true integration.

Don’t get me wrong, I’ve had 3 HTC WM based phones, 1 Palm, and 3 RIM BlackBerries. I’m extremely comfortable working with individual apps on an integrated device. And this is exactly what the j-Phone felt like, a nice integrated device with a snazzy GUI.

But what sets the iPhone apart is its simplistic yet elegant & intuitive design. Everything from the hardware to software is integrated into a functional work of art. The iPhone simply looks better and works better, If you don’t believe my try something simply like listening to music on either phone. The coverflow on an iPhone is amazing! Or try using the calculator. Or try changing your ring tone.

If you’ve never used an iPhone, you’ll probably love the clones. But once you’ve used the real thing, you find there is no substitute.
