How can I update my android softeware on my phone?
I have a samsung captivate with android 2.1 (froyo). I was wondering how I can update it to get 2.2 or higher.
If i go to software updates, and than i can select check for updates and it finds one. But than it just completely stops.

I believe if you go to system settings, then to updates, it should find the new software, and ask if you want to install it. If that’s not the case, feel free to email me and ill figure it out.

I’ve thought about buying the Snesoid app for Android (for my Droid X) because I love the old SNES games, but I’m under the impression that it’s just an app that lets you play SNES games on the device, but doesn’t actually have any of the games with it. How does that work? Do you get the games from somewhere else? How do you download them onto the phone and actually play them? Does it cost more to get the games then? Sorry for the ignorance lol.

Yes…you have to download the ROMS separately. search “snes roms”..keep in mind, legally you must own the game to download the rom.
If they packaged the roms with the emulator, that obviously is giving away something they don’t have the rights to.
When you start the emulator…you can search the directories on your phone to load the games. Its easy…you’ll pick up on it right away.
