How much will the htc EVO 4g cost without contract?

I wanted to know what the full price for the htc evo because my i am not elegibal for an upgrade until october 1st 2011. I have not even finished one year of my conract.
Also would it be better for me to just cancell my current conract with sprint and start a new one with the htc evo at $ 200?

Full retail price without renewing contract/without eligible upgrade: Sprint = $ 449, Radioshack = $ 499, Best Buy = $ 599. If you buy from Radioshack or Best Buy they are more expensive, but also have extras they will throw and they give you an instant mail in rebate. Sprint is the cheapest, but gives no extras and you have to deal with the mail in rebate.

Your plan to cancel your contract and then buy the Evo for $ 199.99 is unfortunately flawed. If you cancel service, you will not be considered a new customer for 3 months, which means you cannot get the new customer pricing of $ 199 for three months.

So I am in the market for a smartphone and it was either iphone or android. I hear people saying to go with android instead and I am willing to try it so what the hey! so the phone is new and unlocked and for the price of 450$ . Is that a good price? Is there any reason beside battery life that I shouldnt go with this phone? Thanks

Okay, as long as it’s absolutely new then that’s a good deal for it.

I always like to compare to eBay prices to get a good feel for real world market value. Go for it, if you don’t like it get rid of it here soon and you’ll have a great resell price/rate.

Verizon announced the release of their new phone shortly following the release of the iphone 4. Check out my video because supposedly there will be a chance to get a free htc droid if you attend the opening of a Verizon store in northampton maine on Feb 12th. Also the release date is rumored to get pushed back further to allow the thunderbolt to not get overshadowed by the iPhone 4. Enjoy! OwenKnowsTech
