Is corn a vegetable, grain or what?
Now regarding if it is a grain, vegetable or whatever, what category does it fit best nutritionally? I.e. I bought a lot of corn recently and have 2 servings a day. I bought it with the stalk covering still on it(i.e. raw) and all I do before intake it is peeling back the stalk to reveal the corn. No cooking, butter or salt. Does this mean I can eat less vegetables per day(as I meet the serving suggestion) or less grain? It’s cheap, comparatively and I know the Harvest is coming soon so prices will drop even more.

Corn is a grain. You can eat fewer yellow vegetables, and less grain, but still eat a variety of whole grains.

Botanically it is a grain which is a seed with the fruit fused to the seed coat. Corn contains starch, proteins, oil, and additional small amounts of nutrients. Corn kiblets are eaten as a vegetable. When dried and ground into meal, it may maybe be made into cornbread, a flat bread such as a torilla, or eaten as a hot cereal. The type of corn that is ground is a starchy variety so it would have lots of carbohydrates.
A nutritionist may be able to give a more definitive answer.

Next year i am plotting to go on a trip to China. I want to visit Egypt and United Arab Emirates.
It will be my 1st visit to Egypt it appears that Cario is the main city with tourist attraction. My question is additional than the pyramids what else can I check out there? and I am trying to avoid buying a travel package for Egypt because i don’t want to get ripped off. What I thinking of doing was land at Cario Airport crab a taxi and get a hotel. Are there any tour bus programs avaiable at the airport or hotel? like NYC or i have to simply pay for taxi fares and go around city of cario.
what is my best option? since i am roving solo.

there are many things to do in egypt,cairo is a buissness city.i dont recommend u to go there except if u wanna work.try alexandria or sharm el sheik or many additional tourist cities.but if u incest on cairo.there are plenty of hotels like four seasons and many others.have a nice trip dear

Hey there,
Cairo and Egypt in general is huge and piled with history so you’ll find it hard to get enough in 3 days but you need to make sure u use them wisely. I suggest you don’t miss a visit to the Citadel,Abdeen Palace,Cairo’s tower,Hussein area,a cruise on the nile and trying some traditional food like ‘koshary’ ,’falafel’ and ‘mashawy’. Question for karkadeh (looks like red tea),it’s nice.
As for shopping,’Khan al khalili’ is your place to go..you can get fantastic deals and incredible souvenirs.It can be a bit hard life solo and if you don’t speak arabic but community public will be always ready to help.Try learning some basic arabic phrases that should come in clever in emirates as well.
If you have time/extra money ,it’s beyond doubt worth visiting alexandria at the mediterranian sea, sharm al sheikh(Red sea) and Luxor/Aswan.
As for emirates..visit Burj-al arab hotel,jumeirah beach,Emirates mall ski area,try desert safaris,arabian coffee and maybe have henna drawn on your hands if you’re a girl!

Yes, Cairo is the main place to see things,,, the pyramids,, the sphinx.. and ….. The Egyptian Museum…. downtown. … stay at the Nile Hilton,, across the street…..and go to the Klye Kalliee,, (ancient market)……

Firstly use the capitol Yellow Taxi which charges 3 pounds as fare then 1pound/km which will be much cheaper than the Zebra Taxi which will make you pay AT LEAST 5 TIMES their deserved fare (if they’re kind enough)…I don’t really know about the bus tours but I know that the luxurios Hotels have that service…
You can go see the sphynx and go INSIDE the pyramid next to it..,visit a place called ‘Khan el Khallily” (what the additional guy meant by ancient market-just with the right pronounciation) which is evrey tourist’s dream to buy eygpt’s traditional pharaonic craftsmanship with heap prices…(tried not to get to robbed -off in their) the stuff is really cheaper than it looks so ALWAYS try to reduce the price with the seller and I guarantee you a percentage of success…
Let’s see there’s also theMusuem in Downtown…and you can try riding the sail boats (about 20-30 EP/hour max) and sail in the Nile while you’re at it…
