There is an application that I want to buy. The vendor says it runs on Pocket PC. Does that mean it will run on Windows Mobile CE?

I believe they are both different in commission systems. It would be like trying to run Mac programs on Windows. It won’t work. But I’m not sure if that’s right, I know small about the Pocket PC OS and Windows Mobile.

Well its not necessary that all PocketPC applications will work on your Windows Mobile CE. It varies from OS to OS. Like the application developed for Microsoft PocketPC 2003 may not work on Windows Mobile 5.0. So it is always better to check the device compatiblity list before purchasing any product. If you ever have visit the website of a mobile content delivery platform like youpark.com, you will find the device compatiblity list under description. Otherwise these sites also provide you the facility to sort/search the applications according to your devices or manufacturer name. i would recommned to you to visit it first, i hope you got the exact answer you are looking for!
