Cool HTC Hero Apps to get?

I just bought a Sprint HTC Hero last week and was wondering if anyone knows any cool apps to get or any cool things I can do with my phone to make it more personal. Thanks!

A good place to try is Android Market. They have tons of free apps. A few of my favorites are SMS Chomp which allows you to COMPLETELY CUSTOMIZE your text message interface from the backgrounds on the chat list and conversations, to bubble and text color, font and pictures next to your contacts in the conversation list. Your text background can be any picture. It’s pretty cool. A fun game called What the Doodle is similar to pictionary and connects you to other players as you try to guess what they’re drawing first. There are also gamboy and sega emulators that allow you to play the classic games on your phone. Your options are endless.

i have no problem on web pages because of the zoom feature, but i cant read my contacts or text messages. are there any apps that will enlarge these?

I have on as my default messaging app ChompSms. With this app i can customize my font settings. There’s also Handcent for SMS. I also downloaded Spare Parts from the market and there’s an option to make font larger, but it doesnt work on my Samsung Moment. I suggest you downbload anyways because it also gives you the option to set individual windows speed to fast
