ok so i have the HTC Hero android from sprint. is there a way to download and install themes from the phone? if so how?

It’s called rooting your phone, read up on it. You can install custom operating systems (based off of android), and you can get android 1.5, 1.6, even 2.1 on your phone. You will need to root your phone but there is lots of themes on an app called “home” or go to XDA forum and look under HTC Hero.
