yes, but if you unlock your phone with blacksn0w you can use it with additional carrier such as T-Mobil and additional companies with Sim cards

yep, att is the only company that carries the iphone. i would beyond doubt recomend switching to att if u aren’t already. i use my iphone all the time and it’s very very helpful.

In the United States, yes AT&T is the only one. You may maybe buy an unlocked iPhone and use it on another network, but be cautious if you choose to do so, because some things may not work properly if you do.

Im thinking about getting the new iPhone but Im not sure if i qualify for the new upgrade yet. If i do qualify, then my parents said theyd pay half and id only end up paying $ 100. i may maybe also get the iPod Touch but id have to pay $ 150. any advice? and if i go to the store, may maybe they tell me if i qualify?

Go to the store they may maybe beyond doubt tell you.. or call. If you are deciding between the iphone or ipod touch you should obviously go with the iphone. Iphone has a built in ipod touch.

If you currently do not have AT&T and are switching, you are eligible. If you do have AT&T and have had your current AT&T phone for over a year in a two year contract, you are also eligible.

If you are going to have to pay for it yourself, but, you are looking at a $ 40 a month minimum minutes plot, plus a required $ 30 data plot, and add on a texting plot on top of that for $ 5 for 200 messages, $ 15 for 1500 messages, and $ 20 for boundless messages.

The iTouch is a much cheaper route and does everything but make calls. Unfortunately you have to pay for updates for the Touch, where as it is “free” for the iPhone.
