samsung galaxy s vs. htc hd2?

hi. after months of research and wait, i have finally zeroed down on two options. the samsung animated galaxy s and the htc hd2 (HAVE TO GET T-MOBILE)…

here are the pros and cons that i see.

HTC HD2:
Pros: a stunning 4.3″ show, 1GHz processor, 448 RAM, HTC Sense UI, Dual LED sparkle, Proximity sensor, Smart functions like speakerphone on upon putting the device upside down, pocket mode, simple compatibility to outlook, absolutely “simple to attune with” integration of office components. and most of all, since it’s a windows phone, it will seamlessly connect to my pc/laptop.

Cons: Runs windows6.5, which won’t get upgraded, no rich appstore like an apple or an android, pretty much dead OS, since upgrading is not possible and not many helpful apps are available.

Samsung Galaxy S
Pros: Android os, which is upgradable to 2.2; 1GHz processor, 512 RAM, SuperAMOLED show, 4″ screen, future-proof for the next 2yrs atleast (since the specs may even be able to run android 3.x).

Cons: I really don’t trust the Samsung brand name more than HTC in cell phones, no LED sparkle for camera, a plasticky feel – doesn’t give a premium look, i read some reviews that syncing with PC is trying, the UI of HTC is anyday better than the Samsung Galaxy UI.

delight suggest which one is better… i am getting both of them for the same price.

With everything you’ve said, I’d say get another phone.

But, if you’d question me, I would certainly say Galaxy S. It is much better than the HD2, software and hardware wise.

I’d say either wait for Windows Phone 7, or buy an Android phone. Windows Mobile as you said; is dead.

I would personally go for the Samsung phone as even though it is a Samsung phone, it is a pretty incredible device.

HTC EASILY! I have an HTC HD2 and a Touch pro 2 and they are brilliant phones!!!

The HTC’s UI is much better than the samsung, it looks much better, it feels better (my opinion), the show is larger and better and it has a Dual LED camera sparkle!

Oh and if you did want an android phone HTC have unrestricted an android os bring up to date for the HTC HD2! Which means it has the app store and everything android has! Which makes it much better than the samsung!

i cant choose between the htc hero and the samsung moment there the same price so which is better i like having a keyboard but im tired of having a gap between the phone (i just had the palm pre and it had a huge gap) im really piccky about stuff like gaps and things like that also which has a better touchscreen similer to the palm pre or iphone if possible

Between the two, the HTC Hero is doubtless a superior phone all around. It has more powerful hardware and will run most apps smoother. It also has a better camera.

If it HAS to be Sprint, go with the Hero, it’s a better all around phone than the Moment. If it didn’t have to be Sprint, I’d say wait for the Sony Xperia X10 – it’s awesome.
