Can you sync a jailbroken Iphone with a different computer?
by septillion
Okay, So I have an Iphone 3gs with os 4 on it and the latest jailbreak. I recieved it from this website that really forgot to wipe everything off, and it has a jailbreak which is fine, but I was wondering if I may maybe sync it. There is nothing I’m worried about on there except for losing the jailbreak and the things I’ve place on there
can you sync it to add some of your apps from the app store and to add music?

Many say you can, others say you cannot. Syncing it on a different computer shoudn’t exchange the phone as long as you are logged onto your iTunes account onto that computer. But if you have to restore the phone, then your jailbroken will most likely be erased. Charging the phone is a completely different tale, I have a 3GS on iOS 4.1 and it is jailbroken. I connect my phone to my girlfriend’s mainframe and on her family’s home computer all the time to charge it and nothing happens.

My iPhone.
I’ve heard several public talking about using their iPhone as a modem. If this is indeed a capability of the iPhone, would someone please advise how to utilize that feature. I’d sure be grateful for it. Thanks!
