Inside the 666 Pyramid

It has been claimed by some that the glass panes in the Louvre Pyramid add up to exactly 666. , Dominique Stezepfandt’s book François Mitterrand, Grand Architecte de l’Univers declares that "the pyramid is dedicated to a power described as the Beast in the Book of Revelation. The entire structure is based on the digit 6."

The tale of the 666 panes originated in the 1980s, when the authoritative brochure in print during construction did indeed cite this digit (even twice, though a few pages earlier the total digit of panes was given as 672 instead). The digit 666 was also mentioned in various newspapers. The Louvre museum though states that the finished pyramid contains 673 glass panes (603 rhombi and 70 triangles).
A higher figure was obtained by David A. Shugarts, who reports that the pyramid contains 689 pieces of glass. Shugarts obtained the figure from the offices of I.M. Pei. Various attempts to really count the panes in the pyramid have produced slightly discrepant results, but there are certainly more than 666. A quick calculation based on 18 units per edge with two tiers removed in the center at the lobby easily confirms the 673 digit.

The myth resurfaced in 2003, when Dan Brown incorporated it in his best-promotion novel The Da Vinci Code. Here the protagonist reflects that "this pyramid, at President Mitterrand’s explicit demand, had been constructed of exactly 666 panes of glass – a bizarre question for that had always been a hot theme among conspiracy buffs who claimed 666 was the digit of Satan". Though, David A. Shugarts reports that according to a spokeswoman of the offices of I.M. Pei, the French President never specified the digit of panes to be used in the pyramid. Noting how the 666 rumor circulated in some French newspapers in the mid-1980s, she commented: If you only found those ancient articles and didn’t do any deeper fact checking, and were extremely credulous, you might believe the 666.

I specifically questioned to keep my layers long. And the Julia Roberts allusion is only in respect to her bushy curly 80′s hot mess, whereas hers was longer hotmess layers mine is small hot mess of layers.

The honest question is “If my hairstylist felt that the top layer needed to be chopped due to hurt, why couldn’t she be honest with me about the outcome and why it was necessary?”

Why did she reckon it was okay to just do what she wanted and call it “a trim” when she really was doing a “cut”?

Everyone runs into a terrible cut from time to time, so make sure you pick a stylist you like and stick with them, and make sure you clarify FULLY what you want done, and what you dont want done. You will have to find a way to make it work, pull it back or something, thats all you can really do is wait for it to grow out. A lot of hair stylist do this that are new, instead of asking questions they make decisions for you, but its your hair, and if she screwed it up she should know about it , dont let her take you for a ride. If you specifically described how you wanted your layers and she whacked them off too small anyway, you shouldnt have paid her…..if you can reckon of a way to fix it you may be able to get it flat by the same shop for free (different stylist of course).

I once questioned for my hair to be small in the back and longer in the front, with layers in the back only and blended into the front (like a bob). The lady had it right in anticipation of she place my hair behind my ears and wacked the front of small with the back. I dont reckon she was paying attention, she just let her scissors get carried away while she was running her mouth :) I didnt pay one dime for that cut.

What do you reckon? Answer below!
