Why does my android froyo look different?

I have the droid 2 and it says that I am running android 2.2 froyo, but when I look at some of the additional phones running this operating system, the look very different, even from juste the unlock screen. Is there a reason for that? Just curious!

Also does anyone know when the droid 2 will be getting gingerbread?

They may be slightly different versions of the OS. I’m not familiar with Windows Mobile or whatever Droid uses (even if persons phones are pretty badass), but chances are you just have different settings or a slightly updated version. Maybe even an just a different theme, or it came with awkward install settings.

Unless you mean your phone physically looks different. In which case I am guessing you have a different phone.

The Droid 2 is running android 2.2 with Moto Blur launcher (which is motorola’s android launcher) It’s still 2.2 but with a different home screen, and maybe a couple different widgets. So if you compare the Droid 2′s launcher with the Tmobile G2′s launcher you’ll probably see a huge different, that’s because the tmobile g2 has stock android 2.2, where as the droid 2 has moto blur on android 2.2

So in small, its the close software versions with minor differences and different looks. Hope i helped.
