why is android market saying that it cannot log me into my google account?

just got a new android phone, which i can use because my ancient phone was android, so when i go onto the market it says to me that there was a network error while trying to sign into …………@googlemail.com but every time i retry it says the same business? also when i try to sign into google mail it says that it cannot connect to ma?tre d’h?tel (not trusted ma?tre d’h?tel certificate) please help thanks x

A BETA is out so I hope the real business will be out soon (should be this year, so within the next 4 months!).
