Answer by PCPrime
Only if the phone is unlocked.

Also, you will only get EDGE not 3G

I just got the Samsung Fascinate that has Android 2.1 on it. It synced all my Google contacts. Is there a way to get rid of persons? I’d rather have just my fixed contacts that I had in my blackberry before this droid phone showing..Is there a way to do that?

I’m not sure if you can go back to your ancient contacts, but you can stop it from syncing anymore with your Google contacts – go to Settings, then Accounts & Sync, then click on your gmail address, then uncheck Sync Contacts

I would go ahead and let them sync because then they are backed up if something happens to your phone.

But, just because you are syncing contacts to Google doesn’t mean you have to show your entire gmail address book on your phone.

Go to Contacts–>Menu–>Accounts. You can choose which contacts to show from there.
