Why Can't I receive video messages on my HTC EVO Shift?

I have a Sprint HTC EVO Shift. I couldn’t send video, but I changed the format and now I can send videos. BUT I’m still not able to (receive) videos, it tells me the video can not be played. PLEASE HELP!!!
also.. if there an app i can download that will help me with this problem?

I have the Evo shift also and I too have the same problem. Here’s what I found out changing the resoloution to the lowest setting will only allow you to send a short video as in 10 seconds are less. There is an app you can download on the Market called “whatapp” it’s free the first year then about 2 dollars every year after. Also, “It’s a limitation of the MMS. It simply wasn’t designed to handle videos and photos at the resolution modern phones are capable. When it was designed, cell phones were at 0.3 MP and recorded video at an even lower resolution at 12 fps.” Which basiclly means you have to send it to an email or youtube. Or even plug it into the computer. I know it sucks but what can we do about it?

I am due for an up grade in one week. I am totally torn between which phone I should get. which is better? I am pretty lost any advice would be greatly appreciated! (Also what is a good plan for 5 lines but want almost unlimited everything.

Depends on how you like to text. Both phones are great…I have the evo and its amazing. If you don’t mind 100% touch screen then go with the evo.

Also, go with the everything data plan.

Take a look on YouTube, and type in the phone name …they have videos on there of the unboxing of the phones and some advise.

if you want a good phone with a cheaper price, then get the shift. if not, then get the evo because it comes with a 1ghz processor compared to the shift’s processor (less than 1 ghz). apart from that and the evo being slimmer than the shift (due to the shift having a qwerty keyboard), not much is different.

now you’re asking about a good plan with 5 lines, just get a family plan for 5 because its cheaper on the long run. plus you can get all the added benefits as well compared to a single plan.
