Perhaps you have to have an account to download the data that you backed up from your phone. If you have an account, I would suggest that you log into it and see if you’re able to download your data.

Here’s a link that may be of help to you.

Excellent luck and I hope I helped you!

Reviewing the restore page, https://www.mylookout.com/data_backup/restore, will give you some excellent perspective on what data has been backed up by Lookout. Review the ‘Select Snapshot’ window to see on what dates you had what data (the ‘Select Data’ window will show the numbers of each data type correspond to the dates).

It is also possible by using the ‘time slider’ at the bottom of the screen on particular data type (contacts, pictures, etc) pages. From there you can select the particular data that existed on any agreed day in the past.

To restore, follow these steps:

1] Make sure Lookout is installed on the device you are restoring to, and log in to your account online at http://www.mylookout.com , and select the device you want to restore to on the left.

2] On your dashboard, under the “Backup” section, select the “Restore” button.

3] On the restore page, Select the device you’d like to restore from, the snapshot of data from it you want, which data you want, and then click the “Restore” button at the bottom.

As long as your phone has a signal and a data connection, your restore process should start shortly (you can initiate it with another backup process). Please be advised that the restore process can be lengthy, depending on the amount of data you are restoring, and the speed of your data connection. (WiFi is recommended to speed things up if available.) If you’ll be restoring a lot of data, make sure your battery has a excellent charge to compensate for all of the data the phone will be downloading at once.

Answer by geek-in-training
Yes, the phone needs to be “on”. Then plug it in to the computer via USB. You may have to go to the Blackberry site manually since you are having problems with the phone already.
