htc hero sprint force close messaging?

I have roughly 600 texts/sms messages in one thread. When I go to the messages thread page and click menu delete, it makes me check what thread I want to delete. So I click the one with 600 and it goes straight to a black screen and freezes. So I press the home button, and takes me home, I click on the messages icon and it goes back to the black screen and force closes on me. Anything I can do?

Download the free app available on the android market called “delete old messages”. In the free version you’ll be able to delete texts over a week old. This can be a long process so I suggest doing it overnight while your phone is on a charger.

does changing the theme on the Sprint HTC Hero change the look of the keyboard? even if it’s just the colors that change, i want to know. i’m curious cuz i will be getting one soon
