If you use google voice app, beyond doubt will charge your data treatment instead of minutes you use. Becareful of your bill.

What kind of tracking features are you looking for? If it is for lost phones or GPS tracking then I recommend you get Spybubble ( http://spybubble.ellsed.com ). Apart from keeping track of calls & messages, it also has a GPS module that doubles up as a phone tracker app.

Once installed, it works remotely to track public, vehicles and misplaced phones. In some ways, this is like the Google Liberty service. The app works on all Android phones including Motorola Droid, Dell Streak, HTC, Samsung Galaxy & LG. I’ve got it installed on my own cell phone for the same reasons.
