does HTC evo 4G work in a 3G?

I want to know if you can use a HTC Evo 4G with a company 3G or 2G and what are the advantages of the 4G cus i heard it have no meaning no name just that you can download things much quicker and quicker i estimate sometimes there is no reason to get 4g cus is a waste of money so how i was saying can i use it with a 3g ,2g company like T-mobile, Verizon etc or if i have it unlocked can i use it with any 2G 3G company anywhere Wold-Wide?

The Sprint HTC EVO 4G works in all areas that have 4G coverage for data internet access. It is ten times quicker than a 3G data network would have. So by the phone internet, downloading music, or watching movies on your cell phone is wonderful. 4G cell phones are compatible with 3G coverage as well. So if you are in a area that does not offer 4G, then the cell phone will pick up 3G data internet.

As far as having a 4G cell phone unlocked, you can use it with another cell phone carrier. Though I doubt that the 4G data internet would work and be compatible. It would not function on a different cell phone carrier.

1999 Gillig Advantage T-35

Now have an HD2 running Froyo. Debating if I should take advantage of the Cyber Monday free G2 deal going on…. As of yet have had no “real” issues with a froyo’d HD2 over the past 3 months and just about never use WinMo. The “4G” G2 is appealing as I spend a lot of time tethering and watching hulu videos…… Anyone want to help me sway one management or the other? All opinions are welcomed as I have no experience with the G2.

Well if you like android then go to a real android phone not on that runs it over the other OS.

I like my G2, which is basically a Nexus with a keyboard.

Also Just a caution about tethering tmobile is now charging for it if you use over around 100mb of tethering they will block it in anticipation of you add the option. I can speak from personal experience as i don’t tether
