Where can I install the Android Market application for my HTC Hero?

I have recently bought a HTC Hero, though I don’t have the “Android Promote” application already installed in it. So, I can not download any application from the android promote, because it tells me that I should enter the site by my Android Promote application.

Everywhere and how can I bed in Android Promote application for my cell phone?

Some countries don’t get the Promote installed on the Hero, so it depends on either everywhere you live or what country the phone was bought from. Read this thread, it clarifies a bit more:

You can root the phone and bed in an updated ROM, and that usually includes the Promote app.

Is it better to buy an Android and pay the extra data fee, or just get a regular touch screen phone for no additional fee? Is the Android worth the extra fee?

Hells yes. Period. I was gonna buy a LG Rumor touch, a touchscreen phone with a very generic UI. Then right before I was gonna buy it, I deeply researched the Samsung Intercept (an Android phone) and I was sold. I did have to save up an extra 100 bucks, but after comparing it with my friends RT, I knew I made the right choice. Once you buy one and leave a trail of destruction for the IPhone users you’ll know what I mean. DO NOT BUY AN ANDROID if you can’t handle copius amounts of awesome.
