Q&A: Which carrier has the best plans for a family, if the phones don't really matter to us?

Q&A: Which carrier has the best plans for a family, if the phones don't really matter to us?

Although we’re not trying to go completely basic, we don’t really need a HTC EVO for everyone in the house. I’m looking for unlimited minutes, and if a carrier has decent prices then good phone=unlimited data plan also.
3 of us by the way.

Try T-mobile if they are available in your area. They have a family plan that can include Fave 5 on each line to help save on minutes. Also, free nights, weekends, and unlimited text.

It really depends on your location. Go to their websites and check out there pricing and coverage maps. We have verizon and have great coverage but were paying about 200$ with only 700 mins. When I checked out sprint their prices seemed pretty decent plus they have a family unlimited plan with no data restrictions. Verizon charges an extra $ 29.99 for unlimited data and has a data cap of 5gb I believe.

It all depends on what you want, good coverage and good phones mean more money. T-mobile has a plan through Walmart for unlimited talk/text for $ 45.00 the 1st line and $ 25.00 each line after that, data cost extra and has a cap. Sprint offers 1500 minutes(can call any mobile phone free) with unlimited talk/text/data and night at 7 pm for $ 129.99 plus $ 19.99 your 3rd line, if you get a 4g phone will add $ 10.00 to the plan. At&t offers the same type of deal but not clean on data pricing, looking into it now. Verizon is very expensive, great coverage and nice phones but pricey, we have 4 lines and pay well over $ 140.00 for 700 mins night at 9 with unlimited texting. Good luck, try prepaid but for a family plan can get pricey and coverage is an issue in certain areas.
