Question about the Google Android Platform?
This may apply to other operating systems as well. I dont know how to word it so ill use an example. So say when the Motorola Droid gets upgraded to 2.1 later this week, where does the upgrading take place, where does it go to? what part of the internal memory, RAM or software takes in the upgrade? So do phones with more of RAM or software or even the processor speed have anything do to with upgrading the phone to the next software point like going from 2.0 to 2.1?

The up grade will only affect what it is intended to upgrade. It will not alter the RAM. That is what it is, set from the manufacturer’s specs. Generally to upgrade RAM you have to replace the ‘chip’ itself. The upgrade should only work should only work on what it is intended to specifically improve. That will most likely be limited to improvements of program protocols. Anything you read about the update will only be speculation. But Here are what I consider worth while links.

iPhone-Android Reversion
Reversioning the Apple iPhone logo based on Google Android.
Androids logotype is quite interesting but also a little tricky to work out how other letters should be styled. In this case only had to create P, H and E. P was easy as it was just formed from the existing R, H was a guess and I’m not convinced the E looks right. So may go back to the drawing board for that one.
Also decided to make the Apple whole to better reflect the zero bite Android dude. It’s nice actually as the bottom of the Apple sits perfectly over the O, and would be a nice cosy fit if you moved them closer together.
I like Android because of more choices and personalization, but iOS has more apps. I still like Android though.
Also, I’m still new to Android. Any good recommendations for apps or widgets? Suggestions would be most appreciative.

Well this is what it is,
Android has alot of things that u can personlize like u said, it gives u alot of freedom to do what u want to do without no lookups like apple, u can do what u want with the phone and they wont block u are nothing.
Apple, apples interface is alot more better, then any other smartphone software i have ever seen, the best thing about apple is iTunes, u have access to buy any tv show or music u want, and thats what the main thing that sets apple apart from any other software maker.
SO my answer is kind of mixed up, but for the most part i would have to say Apple, only because i like the interface of it and its alot more smoother then andriod

iOS: Fast, Smooth, Stable, Apps and Simplicity
Android: Customizable, Flexible, Functions, Features and Unrestricted
I’m not sure what to suggest really, but I’ll suggest some of the stuff I like… If you want a nice simple clock (displayed as text) widget, get Clockr and also checkout Beautiful Widgets.
Apps: Goggles, Androidify, Shazam or SoundHound and ADW Launcher EX (if you don’t like the skin on the Android phone).
Games: Cordy, Angry Birds, Fruit Ninja, Dungeon Defence, Gun Bros., Zenonia 2, Speedx 3D and Rocket Bunnies.
