I am getting the HTC Hero, Any reviews and things i should know about it?

Question states what i want to know basically?
Any problems, anything minor and or annoying? Pros and Cons. Do you like it, would u want it?
I personlly saw it in the Sprint store and loved the feel of it and liked the simplicity to go through the phone so i decidedto get it… Terrible pronouncement?

I like my hero to death! I will warn you of this reoccurring conundrum I have with it… it usually happens after I download something from the promote (it’s only happened possibly 5 times since I’ve had it since December) Anyways, it will get super laggy and then my phone will have “no service”. Sometimes this happens upon restart too. Then a ton of apps will force close. It’s a conundrum easily solved though. You just need to go into settings into manage apps and clear your apps’ cache. Usually the apps with the leading cache are the ones pulling info off the internet like Browser, Dictionary.com, and the Promote itself. Then like magic you have service again. Dunno why this happens for sure, Ive read online that it’s an HTC conundrum :/

Even with that though, the phone is awesome!
Pros about this phone is facebook contact merging – wonderful
I didn’t reckon I’d use all 7 home screens but I find for myself wishing I had more to be honest. Especially when you start to download widgets and other apps.

Visual Voicemail is doubtless my FAVORITE thing about the phone because before I absolutely despised calling voicemail, entering a digit, and then waiting forever to hear messages. Certainly a time saver and now I don’t ignore people anymore :)
I could go on and on about pros..

Another con – the stock messaging app drains battery so download a replacement like Handcent or ChompSMS. I personally like Handcent better – extremely customizable.

My HTC Hero, that is. I loved that phone, and despite the lukewarm reviews that its camera got, I managed to achieve some impressive results. This, for example, is Warkworth Castle – shot on my phone and processed in-camera by Adobe Photoshop Express. My HTC Hero is now in someone else’s hands – sold on eBay for only £70 less than I paid 12 months ago. Not terrible for something I got so much use out of.

But don’t worry – I’ve bought an HTC Desire … and I’m looking forwards to putting its camera through its paces.

I have a HTC Hero g3 (sprint) and there is multiple pieces of dust under or between my screen. I can’t tell if it’s under or between, but all i know is that i can see and when the sun hi it all you can see is the dust and it irritates me. How do i clean the dust without destroying my phone?
P.S. if there is any info i left out that you need ill post it later after i review your answer as additional.
