Software compatibility for 'windows mobile pocket pc" and "windows mobile smartphone"?

See guys ive refered all answers related to this but evrything seems to be shared. i just want to know one thing.. Are the softwares for windows mobile pocket pc compatible with windows mobile smartphones like htc touch..

Many softwares available are only for pocket pc edition… But the htc touch has WM6 version. Are these S/Ws applicable for this fone too.. Pls guys make it very clear..

Im pretty sure smartphones are different than pocket pc’s as in changing firmwares

yes software is different between the two the pocket pc software takes advantage of the touchscreen which smartphones do not have
as far as wm 5 or 6
most software that will work on one will work on the other
i haven,t had any for myself that run on one but not the other yet

Smartphones use Outlook. You already have it if you have Windows 98 or later. If not, they will include the software with the phone.

You can also download a free version of Outlook Express from Microsoft’s web site.

You can transfer data from Palm to Outlook by Import and Export commands from the file menu.

Just select Export from the menu in your Palm software, save your data in a file. Select Import from Outlook, and select the file you made.

Might be a small more complicated than that, but it sould get you started.
