How do I link my gmail contacts to my android phone?

All my contacts just all suddenly disappeared, gmail still has them all, but now I need to export them from my gmail account to back into my My Touch android phone. Can someone please tell me how? Step by step would be great Thnks

*Log into the Gmail account where the contacts are stored.

*Once logged in go to the main menu on the phone and select the contacts icon.

*Under contacts select the menu/options icon to bring up a list of available options. Under this list you will see an option for accounts.

*Select accounts, this will bring up all of the active e-mail accounts set up on the phone. Under the list of e-mail accounts select the Gmail account.

*Once the account is selected turn on the sync contacts option.

*Now that the account is synced with the phone all of the contacts will be transferred to the device.

The only experience I have with looking at code is when I created a couple websites using Adobe GoLive. I didn’t write the html myself but at least it isn’t completely foreign to me.

Learn Java.

Download the Android SDK http://developer.android.com/sdk/index.html and the IDE Eclipse http://www.eclipse.org/downloads/ – get the one for Java. Follow the Quick Start instructions on the Android SDK download page.

If you get a message like that with iTunes that means phone is not unlocked.

it still looking for specific carrier !! (wereu able to make calls ??)

try using PwnageTool (its available for mac, if u dont have one use ones who has it.. just one time thing)

don’t forget that the data is not available everywhere, and data will tend to drop out more than voice will, so you may find that you ‘drop’ your calls a lot.
the additional things to consider is latency, so it might be like ancient-fashioned phone calls overseas.
I would use the voice plot, and try out google voice and see what you reckon of it. You can exchange your verion plot later on.

I have Sony Ericsson – Xperia – X10i Android & it is so so fine.
It was a gift for me since last July [when just unrestricted]. But the only down business was that it was sold with the older Android version 1.6. But once updated, it’s updated.
So I bet the ones they sell by now are updated already. I don’t reckon Sony is this stupid & slow. You can easily make sure of this through review websites like cnet.com.

By the way, this is my first Sony & Android phone.
Earlier I had Nokia & then HTC windows mobile.

Q1. No, but for all the Cell Phone companies out there, you have to pay for a data plot that includes internet. And for every company I have seen you HAVE to pay the data plot.
Q2. That would have to be a theme program. You’d have to do research yourself on that one.
Q3. It has an on-screen keyboard. It doesn’t slide out and have a keypad keyboard.

How much will it cost to open an account with Sprint and get the HTC EVO?

I just turned 18 and i don’t have any credit. Will they charge me more for not having credit?
From what i know from looking at their website Sprint is asking $ 200 for phone with online savings and mail in rebate and the plot is $ 79 a month.
How much will it really be with no credit.

Sprint unrestricted that information a couple of weeks ago, the phone is $ 450 no contract, the release date is June 4th, It will be $ 79.99 plot for the phone which includes the $ 10 surcharge (the $ 10 is not for 4G but for the fact that this phone is a media center and it will enable you to use much more data than normal, streaming movies from Your computer, record calls, watching Youtube HQ, plus you don’t have to worry about the 5GB data cap that additional companies offer on their “boundless” data plans)

Umm you can use the Quik application to spill record to somebody on a computer for free, but apparently Quik is trying to charge public $ 5/month to use the record phone service, luckily there are additional options. Fring just came out with something that allows you to do the same business for free.

The mobile hotspot feature (which allows you to provide wifi signal for up to 8 devices) is 29.99 monthly if you want it, but there are supposedly additional options that don’t have that monthly price.

It’s life shipped with Android 2.1, Android 2.2 (Froyo or Frozen Yogurt) is about to be officially unrestricted and HTC said that they will be working on upgrading the EVO to that version later this year.

The HTC EVO 4G has already been rooted but directions are not up for it yet.

How much will a upgrade to a iPhone 4 on a family plan cost?

I want to upgrade from my fixed AT&T phone to the iPhone 4. My parents each have their own fixed phone. How much would a monthly bill probably cost with one iPhone and 2 regulars. Your plot for the minutes would stay the same with no price exchange.
200 MB of Internet will cost an extra $ 15 a month
2 GB of internet will cost an extra $ 25 a month
You will need to choose which one you need.
Boundless Texts cost $ 20 for the iPhone only or $ 30 for the whole family INCLUDING the iPhone.
So all collectively you are looking at anywhere from $ 35-$ 55 extra than what you pay now a month depending on what you choose.

Uprading the phone:
If you are eligible for upgrade the price will be $ 199 for 16GB and $ 299 for 32GB
If you have an early upgrade the price will be $ 399 for 16GB and $ 499 for 32GB

nah, not at all. as soon as you get a call or text, the music stops and your ringtone or texttone come on (through your headphones) and it shows whos calling or if its a text, it just beeps and shows the message, and continues before a live audience the music. after your call, it goes right back to where you left off. iphone 4 is the greatest phone in the world!

if you’re buying it sim-free, i doubt it will exchange much – the iphone 3gs is still only SLIGHTLY cheaper than the iphone 4, so it won’t be a massive improvement price-wise! Also, knowing apple, they’ll just discontinue the iphone 4 with the release of the new iphone.

My android phone is locked and is asking for my google mail Id but i do not remember it, what should i do?

My phone is an LG Optimus (Gt540) and I can remember the pattern code but it wont let me place it on, my screen comes up with ‘Please use your gmail account to sign in’ But i do not remember it. I have tried many times of the possibilites but nothing is working. Is there a way to get the pattern screen up again?

I had the same conundrum with my droid if you go to google you can press “Can’t access your account?” and then you’ll see a place where you type your Gmail user name followed by @gmail.com and if you don’t know your username then you click “Forgot your username?” then you type in your recovery email and then check that email and you’ll have an email that says your username and then you can type your username after you press “Can’t access your account?” then you can any Answer your security question or have it emailed to your secondary email.

This is purely a guess, but you may maybe try to call your phone and you should be able to get into your phone.

I’m not sure if you can disable the puzzle lock without knowing the pattern, but at least you should be able to get into your device

the screen onlt “wears down” if you use the styles a lot. if ur not a huge texter, then i would say go for the touch if you want it for pictures, web access and music. if u r a huge texter, then i would go with the rumor. it has a full keyboard and its simpler to text with than the touch (if you have huge fingers).

I have an iPod Touch, but I am planning on buying an iPhone soon. I have a bunch of apps that are games and have my save file on them, but I don’t know how can I transfer the app onto my iPhone and keep the same save file. For example for the app UnBlock Me, I beat about 150 levels, so I want that to be saved on my new iPhone too.

3g is thinner, comes with the iphone 2.0 software stock, has GPS built in, and uses the 3G network. and its way cheaper.

The old Iphone uses the GSM platform where the 3G phone will use the UMTS platform. More speed in the new system. If you have a 3G phone now download something from the net then go to a GSM only area and download something…They each use a different platform and 3G is much faster and we’re working on making it even faster now…

And now you can use the iPhone via Wi-Fi. Meaning, if your on the phone and it detects a Wi-Fi network, it will automatically switch from Edge or 3G (depending on where you are) to Wi-Fi, and not use up your minutes.

I want to get an iphone but i dont want to leave T mobile. I know i can get someone to unlock the phone for me but what would be the downside to doing that? Also if anyone has an iphone can you tell me what you DONT like about it. Thanks.

1) Unlocking the phone means that it will not be covered under any warranty if something happens
2) The visual voicemail would not work on T-Mobile the way it does with AT&T

Most features will work exactly the same. The iPhone is a really good phone, but here are the disadvantages.
1) Very expensive
2) High monthly payments with all the internet payments etc.
3) Battery is not replacable
4) It does not have 3G
5) Does not have any external memory. Only internal. So if something happens all your data is gone
6) It does not shoot videos
7) I don’t think it has a flash for the camera Has no build in radio
9) And many other deficits

I would not recommend getting it with T-Mobile and I would not recommend switching to AT&T either. You will see how they will rip you off with your bills.

Wait for phones to come out with T-Mobile. They haven’t had new phones really that have come in recently, so they will over the next month. If you need internet maybe you might consider the Sony Ericsson Xperia X1. It should also be available in a couple of months but I’m not sure about the carrier.

Smaller phones are the Motorola Rokr E8 that might actually come to T-Mobile real soon. It’s like an iPod nano.

So as I said, almost all features would work with T-Mobile, but it’s your choice if it’s worth it to you.
