The HTC EVO 4G has a larger screen measuring 4.3 inches and the HTC EVO Shift has a 3.7 inch screen. The HTC EVO has a 1GHz Snapdragon processor and the HTC EVO Shift has an 800MHz. The HTC EVO has a 1.3MP front-facing camera and the HTC EVO Shift does not have a front facing camera. The HTC EVO has an 8 P camera with dual-LED sparkle and the HTC EVO Shift has a 5MP camera with single-LED sparkle.

Ricky provided a fantastic answer (thumbs up for you). Essentially, the EVO Shift is more affordable with a less vital screen, no front facing camera, and lower MP camera.

Matt "palmsolo" Miller is by the HTC Advantage as his main system here at Gnomedex. It’s an incredible piece of hardware, very impressive in person. ..It’s got an accelerometer that you can use to tilt and scroll web pages – it’s very cool, and a clean thought.
Also, apparently the device is going to be available at retail in the U.S. It’s available at most CompUSA stores and through Amazon. Price is 0. No carrier agreement (even though it is a GSM/HSDPA-competent device). Cool!
I reckon I want one, though I might hold out for the HTC Shift combination UMPC/Windows Mobile 6 device. ..HTC makes some awesome stuff!
