Did David Stockman hit the nail on the head with his comments on Reaganomics?

When he wrote about it in his piece entitled: “How my GOP destroyed the U.S. economy”?

He was the director of the OMB under Reagan, and a devout proponent of these pyramid schemes.

I love how the dissenters attack the man instead of what he’s saying. That’s what happens when you have no argument.

i think he is wrong

The “trickle down” economic program was a failure then, as it was under the “village idiot” as well.

Stockman is an out of work talking head whos publicist showed him how to make money on the vilifie Republicans gravy train.

Doesn’t pull-up anything for me but the answer is yes. Bush Sr. had a bigger grasp on economics (and got killed by the Republican Party) for going back on his words in regards to taxes (primarily because he was worried about the National Debt under Reagan).

There is some sort of anti-tax “cult” thing going on in the Republican Party, even when said taxes are absolutely needed. To pretend the National Debt can be “fixed” strictly from a reducation in Spending is to have your head burried up your a$ $ .

It’s called flip-flopping. It doesn’t mean you’re right just because you do it.

Umbrella sucked into the air by funnel, Pyramid Stage
hit pyramid

One of the many mini-tornadoes that hit the site during the weekend. This umbrella was being tossed around above the Pyramid Stage. Other funnels touched down and sucked up tents and gazebos around the site.

People used to enjoy driving through my yard until I installed those little concrete pyramids that I bought at the local hardware store. I’ve heard that if someone hit them that I could be responsible for damage to their car. Is this true? I also heard this in connection to brick mailboxes. Just curuous!

Answer by Steven D
You cannot be held responsible, especially if they are clearly visible. It is the vandal’s fault if they damage their car while trespassing.

The only way to get in trouble for hurting a trespasser/robber/vandal is if you do something extreme and out of proportion – like rig a gun to shoot someone who comes in a window. That’s not a good thing to do.

Your solution is not extreme – in fact it sounds perfect. Just make sure people know the pyramids are there. If they aren’t visible, put up some No Trespassing signs or something.

It depends on local codes and laws.

VERY LEGAL IF IN YOUR PROPERTY IF SOMEONE HITS THEM OR GETS HURT ON YOUR PROPERTY WELL THAN THATS THERE FAULT AND ARE TRESSPASSING…

Answer by Beau H
Make sure you put up some no trespassing signs around your yard, a freind of mine had some one try to break into their house through the back yard, they have a very large dog who didnt like intruders, the short story, the vandal won the law suite because there was no clear warning that the dog was there, but it all depends on your local Laws, so it may be worth calling an attourney.
