help me as i m goin to buy PS3 ?

ok so i m from india . i m currently with ps2 and is goin to switch on to PS3 .i have following questions to ask
1. will ps3 will work on my flat televisions(29 onida thunder and 21 sony model 2008 ) ?
2. is LG scarlet 32 iches a good LCD for playing games ?
3.can i play my pirated music or movie cd or dvd on it ?
4. i m planning to buy it on this christmas but my brother says buy it on april . are there any chance of reduction of prices between this period ?
5. SLIM or other one i.e. fat ps3 .(if it is still on stock )?
6. which 1 ,80gb ,120gb or any other . I WANT 1 which has maximum facilities ?
ANY OTHER help or suggestions are WELCOMED !!!!

1. Yes, it should work fine
2. It really depends on your preference. It’s certainly not bad.
3. As far as i know, i don’t pirate music..lol
4. There is a good chamce it will drop, but chances are, sony will do it before christmas to make huge sales.
5. Slim if in stock, but it really doesn’t matter.. same system.
6.Well, if your just playin games on it, 80gb should be fine. If your going to put everyting on it (movies music, etc.) Go ahead with the largest they have.

I dont know if you will see another price drop anytime soon. $ 299 will likely be the going rate for awhile on the 120 GB edition. The older ‘Fat PS3′s’ have more features, but they also have drawbacks. The PS3 slim has no backward compatibility, meaning you will NOT be able to play PS2 games on it. Depending on the version of the ‘Fat’ console, some had this backward compatibility. On the bright side, the PS3 Slim has Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio support. The PS3 Slim also has quite a bit less energy consumption, so you will see a reduction in your energy bill if you are a heavy gamer. The PS3 Slim also does not allow the installation of 3rd party Operating Systems (e.g. Linux). The older ‘Fat’ models also had an additional USB port and memory card readers that the new ‘Slim’ addition lacks.

i have a slim ps3, it plays dvd’s and music but id DOES NOT play ps2 games.. it will work on your tv for sure. add me. TheDaddy190 and there wont be any deductions between those times, id buy one now mate its proper good

2. it’s fine. a friend of mine plays on a similar size and it’s not even hd, but looks alright
3. if it’s pirated games, you may need to mod your ps3 first. i don’t recommend doing this
4. sure, but that’s impossible to know now
5. doesn’t matter, but 60 gig and certain 80 gig models are backwards compatible, meaning they can read ps2 games.
6. they’re all the same, but if you want more memory, get the 120 gig one

the slim only has 2 usb ports and the fat one has 4 and the fat one also has SD card slots and the slim has none
