should i get the sprint htc evo or the evo shift?

from research it seems to come down to whether i want more media oriented phone on the evo or more like texting keypad with the shift?

anyone else have any thoughts or personal preference of a phone? or really like the one they have?

I’m in the same boat. I like to have the tactile feedback that only comes with by a real keyboard. In that sense, you could equate the evo shift to the samsung epic in which case you have to choose if you want a front camera for web conferencing. I don’t. But I want the newest

EDIT: just got back from the sprint store and enjoying my shift. i like the feel because it’s not as huge as the evo and it just feels excellent in the hands.

You are right – the EVO Shift has a keyboard and is more affordable.

You’re essentially getting the same thing. I’ve been told that the shift is the feminine version of the EVO, but obviously still a fantastic phone. Less vital screen, has the slide out key board. It doesn’t have the camera on the front for video chatting so if you’re into that, go EVO. I have an evo, I like it. I’m sure I would like the shift just as much though.
