Q&A: Need help choosing a phone...?

Q&A: Need help choosing a phone...?

As the title says, I’m due for a new phone pretty soon, around mid August. About that time, I’ll have enough money for a new phone as well. I’ve done some figuring and the phones I’m looking at are going to be between $ 450-500 including early cancellation of my current contract, accessories, first month of service, and all the other goodies.

I need a phone that can be my all-in-one device. Right now, I have an iPod classic 80g and LG Xenon, both of which aren’t that great. The phone I buy needs to play music, have decent web browsing capabilities, and have decent apps/flexibility. Battery life isn’t too much of an issue seeing as how I charge my electronics every night, it just needs to get through the day.

What I’ve boiled my choices down to are
iPhone HD/4G through AT&T (Assuming it is built the way people are speculating)
HTC/Droid Incredible from Verizon
HTC HD2 from T-Mobile

Any suggestions or tips? Thanks!

Folks love the DROID from Motorola…
They say it blows away the IPhone from user experience and speed…

The HTC DROID Incredible is too new for really good reviews yet…
DROID ERIS has great reviews as well.

But It sounds like your IPod is just as important as your Cell Phone.
If thats the case – Your decision is made — The iPhone is the way you go –

I do not think any cable like that exists. You have a camera that has a firewire connection. Thus you need a firewire (IEEE1394) port in your computer so you can transfer the footage from the camera to your computer
For a laptop – http://www.firewire-1394.com/cards-firewire-laptop-notebook-cardbus.htm

For a desktop – http://www.abcproducts.co.uk/desktop-firewire-card.html

For theses sites, I did searches for desktop and laptop firewire cards

No. USB and FireWire are two different, incompatible interfaces that use completely different technologies. You might find a few alleged converters on the Internet, but I have never heard a story from anyone who has used one and made it work.

such cables do exist, and you can buy them off the internet. that being said, realize they don’t work. the devices with the firewire port will send streaming data, and not files. a USB device does not stream video, it transfers computer files. the upshot is, the protocol has to be the same on each end of the cable, and just having the wires connected means nothing.

A breakdown of the accessories that were included in the box with the HTC Desire Z. As with the last video, i’m sorry about the poor quality from my Panasonic digital camera! At least this phone will do 720p so things can only go up from here. Hope you enjoy, any questions or comments just put them below.
