Travel Yahoo has a excellent list of things to do, Click below.
I recommend Bazaar Sabado in San Angel (south part of th city) on Saturday morning is fantastic for art and crafts.
Also as you stand in the zocalo facing the cathedral, the building on the left is the National Pawn Shop–they have some incredible thing in there.

Its kind of hard to find a house under the visiting the attractions radar in Mexico City, but I recommend that you go the Bazaar del Sábado. There are many things to buy, art, handcrafts, etc., and you can have breakfast there.
Also you can go and take a walk in Coyoacán, there you can go to see the man that makes facts with the pancake flour, he is well-known. He can make a pancake with your profile and the you eat it, ha ha. Its kind of fun.

Certainly take a boat (trajinera) ride at Xochimilco. Spend an afternoon leisurely (unless it’s a weekend or holiday) floating along the canals everywhere you can have lunch served to you from ladies preparing them on a grill in their canoe, and mariachis or trios will serenade you.

For a fascinating look at Mexico’s religious life, check out the Basilica de Guadalupe. You’ll find devout pilgrims inching their way crosswise the concrete on their knees to give thanks to the Virgin (be sure to look upon the cloak of St. Juan Diego inside) and then spend time in the gorgeous backyard.

For art, certainly go to Coyoacan and visit the house of Frida Kahlo as well as the Museo de Dolores Olmedo.

For night life, listen to the mariachis in Plaza Garibaldi (travel safely here!) or many of the clubs around the historic center.

These Black Pyramid Butterfly fish are some of my faves because they are so cheeky – I like the set alight on his side (they were quite near the surface)

i heard a bunch of girls talking now and one said, “its as hot as balls in here”. this is not the first time i have heard this either. why exactly to people say this (both genders)? the saying was originally its as cold as balls and that was derived from when they used cannons and they would stack them in pyramids and it got so cold that the cannon balls froze and cracked. i dont get it.
