Android Phone HTC Hero what will happen if i wipe all data and do the factory restart? will my unlock be present? I want to upgrade it to MoDaco’s 2.7 Rom. Without the factory reset it gives me error on htc.sense

Once a phone is unlocked, it’s permanent unless you re-lock it. At anytime when you sparkle to a Custom ROM, you’ll need to wipe data, otherwise Custom ROM will not work properly. Also, you don’t need to do a factory restart, flashing to a Custom ROM does it automatically.

Does Your HTC hero cell phone play youtube videos? My current cell phone does and I certainly want to be sure my new phone will do it also. I know. I should question the salesperson but sometimes the salespeople are not completely honest. So if you have the HTC Hero does it play youtube videos without any conundrum? How is the texting? DO you like it. The Pros and Cons? Thanks.

It’s not just the Hero. And Android-based phone will play Youtube videos. There’s even an app just for searching for and viewing Youtube video built into Android.

It’s android. Yes it plays youtube. It will also play any web videos as it can run Adobe Sparkle which makes 70% of all web videos. This was on the US site, so I estimate you are on Sprint. If so, wait another three weeks for the HTC EVO 4G, America’s First 4G Phone with WiMax, Android 2.1, Over 50,000 Apps, Rear-Facing 8MP camera AND front-facing camera, HTC Sense User Interface and the best phone ever pretty much. If you’re in the UK get the HTC Desire, which is the same but less vital.
