has to be voice enabled, and turn-to-turn… i went to tomtom website australia, and they dont sell the software! i tried garmin, it links back to the global site when i reach the software page, i dont get it, do i need the software to be country-based? can’t i just download the maps of whatever country I choose? anyone knows a gps software that does just that?

You can buy a City Navigator CD ROM of Australia at garmin.com. You can then copy what you need to your device.
Or you can buy the SD/microSD card that plugs directly into your device, if it hasa that capability.

Or just buy a paper map when you get there.
