Are the apps for apple far superior to android apps in amount and quality?

I’m so impressed with the ipod and it’s apps, but how do the android apps compare? Are there many free ones like apple apps.

Answer by Daniel K
I have both an Android phone and an iPod touch, and the app supplies are very similar. Nearly all the apps that exist for Apple exist on or have an anologue for Android, and Android really has a far better choice and more free apps.

Apple have more apps simply because they were on the market long. But, Android apps are quickly transmittable up and may surpass in the next few years.

no comparison, android apps are not monitored which is why some 50000 public have now got a virus on their android phones lol

Apple maintains a death grip on its appstore that ensures only apps of a certain quality get approved for distribution. This allows them to maintain certain standards that the Google App market does not currently use.

There is a huge deal going on right now where many Android owners have downloaded malicious code through a free app. Google is working to fix that but it shows how much they really care about security just by letting it happen in the first place.

You will find that many of the apps available from Android are also available in iPhone format but in my experience using many devices, the iPhone apps are the best so far.

There are plenty of free apps from both marketplaces.

Here is an Android store that you may not have seen yet:
