how does the android market work on the samsung captivate?

i’m new to the android market for smartphones, and i’m wondering how it works. i’m getting the samsung captivate from at&t. do you have to buy all the apps from the android market or do they come free on the phone and you just choose the ones you want etc.? i’m confused. will someone clarify that to me?

Some apps you have to buy, others are free. There are some pre loaded apps on a new phone (which are free).

To buy from the market, you can use google checkout with a credit card, or you can have your phone bill charged (if it is an app that charges US dollars)…

Most apps that you buy can be returned (uninstalled) for a refund within 24 hours.

Its all pretty much clarified as you go…welcome to android!

Any phone with the Android operating system has access to the Android Market Place. Certain applications will come loaded on your phone when you buy it, yes.

Beyond that, you can search the Market Place for apps that appeal to you. A fantastic many of persons are free, but there are also paid apps. I’ve got about 20 apps on my phone from the Market and all of persons were free.

When you search the Market Place, you can even search only the Free apps.

Once you find an app you want, you just install it onto your phone.

My company uses Yahoo as its email provider. Our addresses are username@celeris.systems.com. i have downloaded the android yahoo mail app for my HTC Hero phone but I can’t get it to recognize this email address. What do I need to do?

I guess there is no Yahoo support for this. POP to GMail for the business account may maybe maybe work.
