HTC desire HD battery life.?

HTC desire HD battery life.?

htc software
by edvvc

Hello everybody. I have recently upgraded my contract and got myself HTC desire HD smart phone. The phone itself is a brilliant but there is one major issue I am facing which is battery life. I have to charge my smart phone everyday even though my usage is quite average. Somebody mentioned that there are other applications running at the back even when the phone is in sleep mode. I understand HTC desire Hd has a monstrous software and it does dry up the battery quite quick. If anyone has faced the same problem with the handset I will really appreciate if you can send me some information. Many thanks.

Part of having an android device means that you have to manage system resources. Do not use a task killer as they kill applications but most simply start up again and the constant redoing of this strains the battery. You can install an app called “juicedefender” and see how that goes. At night or when you do not need service, put your phone into airplane mode. There are plenty of ways to save battery so it is impossible to list them all here.

I will tell you this though, since it is new let your phone completely die a few times and charge it back up to full health. This will basically “break in” your battery and it will eventually last longer. Once you get used to android go to xda developers.com and find a nice, battery saving ROM for your device.

im new to android but which is better in the sense of the android software the x10 runs 1.6 and the htc desire runs 2.1
the x10 has a bigger screen and a better camera than the desire but i dont really mind about these things also is it true that 1.6 cannot play games like say doodlejump that require you to tilt your phone

thanks for your support

X10 will get upgraded to either 2.1 or 2.2 soon and so it depends on price, hardware and UI.
