Is it possible to delete the google search bar from the main screen on your Android phone?

I bought the phone a few weeks ago. I like the google features but the search bar on the main screen is very annoying. I tried moving it around but it always ends up where I don’t want it. Can I really remove that part and just use the browser button? Help!

Yes.

Just click and hold it and take it to the bin at the bottom.

Its simple just hold down the Google search widget and wait until it turns red, once you do this a garbage bin will appear at the bottom just drag the Search into it. And if you didn’t know this if you long press the screen a box will appear click on “Widgets” and you can place additional clean features at your homescreen.

Google just unrestricted an update to their Maps app for Android, bringing it to version 4.4. So far Google has bee releasing a positively substantial update to this app every month for the past several months. Rather than just talk about the new changes, in the later record I’ve broken down Google Maps based on its four distinct functions (including the new “Places” feature), and demo’d adding a Directions & Navigation shortcut to one of your home screens. pocketnow.com
